ABOUT

Lending a Helping Hand

The refugee crisis in Europe is a continuing 2015 crisis of increasing migration of refugees from the Middle East. Most refugees flee from civil war and dictatorial rule in their countries. The refugees go on a long journey from their countries of origin to camps in Turkey, from where they embark on rubber boats to the beaches of Greece. Lesvos is the third largest island in Greece and is right next to the Turkish border. The distance between the island and Turkey is about 4 miles. The largest number of refugees came to the Lesvos Islands.

 MEDICAL CARE

BOOT REFUGEE FOUNDATION

Thousands of traumatized refugees are stuck in an overcrowded camp on Lesvos. We offer medical care and fight for their human right to safety. Help us, so that refugees in Camp Moria receive the help that every person is entitled to.

MEDICAL CARE

KITRINOS HEALTHCARE

We are a growing group of medical and nonmedical volunteers set up under the direction of Dr Siyana Shaffi, a general medical practitioner who started working in Greek refugee camps in October 2015 on the island of Lesvos.

PROTECT REFUGEES

HIAS

HIAS works around the world to protect refugees who have been forced to flee their homelands because of who they are, including ethnic, religious, and sexual minorities. For more than 130 years, HIAS has been helping refugees rebuild their lives in safety and dignity.
